Places to Stop

I have a few places in mind where we can stop along the way to New York.  Mount Rushmore is one must-see spot and if you're going to see Mount Rushmore, then you have to see the Crazy Horse Monument.  The Crazy Horse Monument is still being carved.  They have been carving it for sixty years!  I also have other places in mind but I'll tell you about those next time.  Do you have any suggestions of places to stop?

Packing It Up

Do you ever dream of going somewhere far away?  I did.  My dream was to travel every state of the United States.  Guess what?  Now we are!

Today I am preparing  for my trip by packing up the house. I am packing up the house little by little.  So far, we have sold an extra bed we didn't need and we have an air conditioner for sale.  We donated a box of things to the thrift shop nearby.  We just purchased a few things we need for the trip, such as suit cases for each of us and a luggage carrier that is on the top of the car now.  I packed up a sports bag with snow gear.  I'm sure we will see snow on the big trip.
