I have a few places in mind where we can stop along the way to New York. Mount Rushmore is one must-see spot and if you're going to see Mount Rushmore, then you have to see the Crazy Horse Monument. The Crazy Horse Monument is still being carved. They have been carving it for sixty years! I also have other places in mind but I'll tell you about those next time. Do you have any suggestions of places to stop?
We have often vacationed in Sandpoint ID. It is right on beautiful lake Pend Oreille. They have a small Statue of Liberty on little pier. If you go, be sure to eat at Panhandler Pies!

While you are touring Mt. Rushmore & Crazy Horse, you will be close to "BEAR COUNTRY USA DRIVE THROUGH WILDLIFE PARK" in Rapid City, South Dakota, it is really interesting and thought you might be interested in touring that also. There's also the Black Hills in that area.
